I applied to UCI and UCSD for the Fall 2014 quarter as a transfer.

I went to high school in California, then went to a couple of years of community college (also in California) and basically got all A's (like one B out of a ton of classes, I think).

From there I went to Texas and attended community college, got two F's (in an English lit class and a drawing class) and a B (in a basic, beginning French class). After that, I went to Georgia to go to an art school for a quarter, and again, got two F's (studio art classes) and a B (survey of art history).

Now, I'm back in California and in the process of completing my second semester at community college back here. I got all A's in my transferable courses last semester.

I've heard that at the UC's they very selectively take out-of-state classes. The art school I went to is a kind of bogus for-profit school, so I doubt those classes will transfer; what I am worried about is the F's from Texas and how badly this will hurt me. Thoughts?
