I currently attend school out of state(from texas to Indiana) and still need help financially. As far as I know there aren't any grants available for me. Can someone please help me out as pointing me in the right direction for this? Your help is much appreciated!

Not sure what you are looking for. If cost was an issue why go OOS? There is NO incentive for Indiana to give you grants. Indiana taxpayers will not subsidize you going there.

Call the financial aid office at your school in Indiana - people there will likely be able to help you better than random CC-ers.

I agree that the financial aid office might be able to help you . If you are at a public uni there, be aware that there often are less options for OOSers. Many publics are looking at OOS students to bring in the money, and are not anxious to subsidize them. Though, really, there isn’t much out there for anyone at this time of the year. The bulk of the money has been distributed.

Some state schools offer aid (merit scholarships to OOS), most don’t. I don’t what Indiana offers but you would have most likely had to have qualified for this aid during admission.

Are you getting any aid currently? (pell, scholarships, etc.)

Some schools offer tuition waivers.

There are no magical OOS grants available just because you want to go to school OOS. The majority of FA is awarded by the school and, as others have said, Indiana doesn’t have an incentive to provide you extra funding.

It sounds like you attended this Indiana school this past year since you say that you’re a current student there. Whatever aid you go as an incoming freshman is likely the most you’re going to get as an OOS student.

When students pick their colleges, they need to consider whether they’ll have funding for all four years. They shouldn’t just calculate that they can scrape by their freshman year and then figure out how to pay the bills for the other 3 years. Doing that causes other problems: the need to take out huge extra loans or having to leave the school and come back home.

How did you plan on paying for college all four years?

Point you in the right direction? Back to Texas for in-state rates!
