Out-of-State Q&A Panels

For all you accepted (or prospective) OOS students -- the admissions office and the Student Government Out-of-State Students Agency is putting on a number of Q&A sessions on campus for visiting OOS students this spring. We're also trying to get the Student Government president to attend some of them (since she's an OOS student as well!). The dates are (all 3-4pm):

3/9
3/19
4/6
4/9
4/23

You can sign up for these by going to the admissions website (Campus Visits for Freshman Prospects | Be a Longhorn) and registering for an "Out of State Students Q&A Session". Hope to see some of you there!

my son is there now with my husband and they are staying through VIP Day on Saturday. Is there a website for this OOS group? Just wondering if he can plug in to check it out. Otherwise, does the group become an option during registration days or at the beginning of the year? I’m hearing good reports so far on UT – I guess I need to start saying “Hook em”

numm83, you forgot the exclamation mark!

Glad to hear your son is enjoying UT. And of course, hook 'em!

There is a Facebook group, but we don’t use it much… https://www.facebook.com/groups/253947914635880/

There are actually two OOS organizations. One is the “association”, which is the social group (the link above is for this group). The other is the Student Government agency, which puts on all the events with the admissions office. There is an application process to join the agency, which is put out each August.
