I got to meet my admissions counselor today, who by the way was a very nice lady, and she gave me a packet which had some information in it that I had never heard before. Of course I knew that the Presidential Scholarship (full tuition) was for a 32-36 ACT with a 3.5 gpa, but I had never seen before that if you get a 32-36 with a 3.8 gpa you also recieve full room & board, a laptop, and $8,500 yearly. I still can’t believe it! But I did just recheck the info and it is indeed true. It just continues to show how generous UA is to out of staters. I guess now I really need to get studying for that 32.

What your admissions rep showed you might have been the perks of being a University Fellow who receives an Academic Elite Scholarship. Only 8 to 10 students each year earn those.

Here’s the link about it…

The Elite Fellows do receive that $8,500 stipend.

You also could become a Crimson Scholar – my son’s suite mate is one. Here is that package.

Oh I guess you’re right. I knew it couldn’t be that easy! Haha oh well, it’s still a great opportunity.

Also I looked at your other link, thanks for the info. Unfortunately I only rank in the top 9% not top 2% so that’s a no go for me.
