Hi!! So I attended the Young Women’s Institute at IU with the Kelley school of Business and I instantly fell in love with IU! I would like some opinions on my chances of getting in. I plan on going into Kelley for marketing and I meet their direct admit standards.

@IUbound16 You have an impressive resume and would be an asset to IU and Kelley…unfortunately, the direct admit SAT threshold is 1270 (M and CR) which you just miss. I’d encourage you to re-take the SAT and/or try the ACT. Here is the link to direct admit requirements.

@WistfullThinking 610 math + 680 CR = 1290, which is greater than 1270, so she will be offered direct admission.
OP, your chances of admission are over 99%. Re-taking the SAT, or taking the ACT and improving your score might give you a better chance at scholarships though. Also, MAKE SURE YOU APPLY BY NOVEMBER 1!!! This is the priority deadline for scholarships, and you have a very good chance of getting scholarships based on your stats.

You can also send new ACT or SAT scores until January 15 that will be considered for scholarships.
I would recommend taking them asap if you are going to though. Also, IU doesn’t care about the writing sections at all as far as I know, so don’t waste time preparing for them, and take the ACT without writing if you are going to take it.
@iubaccounting @IUbound16 Oops, added the writing with math by mistake!
Be sure to apply for Hudson Holland Scholars program.
