I am currently a college freshman residing in NY looking to transfer to Ohio State. For anyone that goes there, would you recommend Ohio State to an out of state student? To be specific - I want to eventually enroll in their pharmacy program. I just need someone to convince me to go there :)

Ohio State is not only well known nationally, it is well known internationally. It will open doors for you! Firms, Agencies, Companies, etc., big or small, want to be associated with winners. The long history and winning tradition of being a “Buckeye” will, once you graduate, also be yours forever.

It has for me, and my D. We too are non-Ohioans, but we love the state and its many friendly Ohioans, and will be “Buckeyes” forever!

Anywhere we go on earth, on business or pleasure, sooner or later, you will, seriously, meet a Buckeye. IT IS FUN TO BE A BUCKEYE!

Ohio State is a great school for OOS students. We are from NY. My D will be starting her third year this month. As long as you put yourself out there, join clubs, Greek life, etc. You will be fine. The people from Ohio are wonderful. She has made great friends. Ohio has really become her home.

OSU is a good public school, certainly a top 15 public. There are quite a few oss students from ny/nj from what I’ve seen. However it is not that prestigious in that it won’t open doors from its rep, but more so from its vast alumni network

The network for the Buckeyes includes not only the Ohio State grads, but also the Big Ten grads. Based on experience, Big Ten grads (except maybe for grads from the rival school, ha, ha) have high regard and respect for Ohio State grads!

Have you ever seen the main campus of The Ohio State University? The place is just awesome! Go see for yourself.

My Ohio freshman son has an OOS room mate from Chicago and is so excited! He was hoping for an OOS room mate. I think you’ll be welcomed at OSU.

My daughter moved in her dorm yesterday-it was wierd with so few kids there. She loves it.
