I'm a sophomore in my 3rd semester at an undisclosed Big Ten University. I have a 3.0+ gpa and a Biology major and I'm looking to transfer to the University of Arkansas and was wondering if there's a difference in tuition from the regular out of state tuition and a transfer out of state tuition. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thatnks

What are you asking, if tuition is different for OOS transfers compared to OOS students who enter Arkansas as a freshman?

Right, that’s what i’m wondering. sorry for the confusion. and also to add to that, do you have any idea how generous they are with academic scholarship money?

Both tuitions will be the same. I’m not sure on Arkansas’ transfer scholarships. Transfer merit aid is very rare. I doubt they have it.

Mcgushi-
Where are you from (official state of residence)? There is a non-resident tuition award for transfer students that are residents of certain states that drops the tuition to in-state levels. Also, there are merit scholarships available to transfer students, but it is generally competitive (still worth applying of course!). Let me know if I can answer any questions, and there’s a UofA admissions rep around here somewhere too, but I bet they’re all on the road right now .

Illinois is my state of residence. I’m thinking that it’s too random of a state (Not bordering or very near) for U of A to have an acception for Illinois
