out of state transfers?

ive observed that hardly any people at community colleges transfer anywhere out of state....at least in california(probably because we have berkley, ucla, usc, cal tech and stanford). anywho, i was wondering how many people in here are hoping to transfer to an out of state university and if so, which school? i live in cali and hoping to transfer to unc-chapel hill in the fall.

im applying to unc chapel hill from georgia, thats the only state school i'm applying to, the rest are private and then uga

haha i'm also applying to chapel hill....o man i'm really worried about getting in

I'm a community college student in Colorado Springs, and I'm hoping to transfer to Syracuse University in New York. (Already accepted, waiting on financial aid info.)

It depends upon your financial situation. If I could afford to spend $5,000 on moving to cal I'd do it in a heartbeat!

Now that I've changed my tune on accepting loans (if necessary.), I'm considering Spelman, in addition to what I've already mentioned.
The other out of state colleges that I've considered, would put my application directly into the auto-reject pile, so I don't even want to bother.

I live in Virginia and im applying to U of Miami, Ohio state, UNC chapel hill, and U of Maryland. Im also applying to instate schools, Virginia tech and JMU.

hey virginia2004....what are your stats? I applied to a lot of the same schools as you!
