this is confusing because 11th grade i transfered form a normal high school to independent studies where you are given 1 subject at a time you teach yourself it and test to get grades. being said i went out of the normal high school order (stupid!) for instance i just i finished my second semester of algII in 12th grade. “No Course” is for when i started the couse at centennial but did no finish there.

PLEASE I NEED HELP!! just ask if you are confused or have questions.

I want to know my chances for UCSC and UCSB but i am not sure my GPA calculations are right??? can anyone tell me what it really is??

come on help me out

I'll take a stab at it:
Your UC GPA is 10th and 11th grade A-G courses only, so Wood Tech wouldn't be included.
Using 10th and 11th, I come up with 21 semester classes
-10 X A = 40 GPA pts
-6 X B = 18 GPA pts
-5 X C = 10 GPA pts
-for a total of 68 GPA pts / 21 semester classes = 3.23 UC GPA.

A 3.4 UC GPA is the minimum for OOS applicants. Have you checked to see if your scores qualify you for "Eligibility by Examination?" UC Admissions

note: For OOS, only AP/IB or community college classes get extra weight.

dang it i thought some of my Honors have been taken into consideration! what was the point of taking them i could have not taken them and got A's!!! this sucks i am screwed i had my heart set on going to UCSC!!!!!!

You could go to Cabrillo College in Aptos (right next to Santa Cruz) and do a Transfer Admission Agreement Transfer Admission Agreements That would get you in to UCSC as a Junior.

thanks ill look into that. but would it matter if i retook 3 of the classes i got C's in and say got A's. i do an independent study program so it is possible to do by the time decisions come. after doing this could i get in by appeal???
