Out of state without extras

My son wants to go to UNC but after reading some posts was wondering if he has a chance? Due to chronic disease he is usually tired when he comes home from school and is to tired to participate in any activities. He is in NHS and Spanish Honor Society and played soccer freshmen year but other than that has nothing else on resume. He got a 32 on ACT and gets SAT scores tomorrow and is around top ten in class with 3.76 GPA after bad first semester this year due to illness. Also with income around $60,000 total and little savings for family would he be able for any grants or need based scholarships if he did get in?

If you are from NC, he has good odds of getting in. UNC is very tough on out-of-state applicants, however.

Make sure that the guidance counselor explains the situation with his illness.

If he got in, you would get very significant financial aid.

He got 670 reading ,700 math . Will these scores help?
