Out of State?

How much does being out of state affect your chances for getting into UCSD? I would love to go there and according to college board I'm within the averages with my Weighted GPA and SAT scores but I'm still worried. I have heard California especially prefers in-state students :/

Don’t worry! Being OOS may actually help you this year :)

UC is increasing the number of admitted out of state applicants, likely due to the extra 23k they pay to go. Berkeley and LA are supposed to have the most dramatic jump in out of state acceptances, but SD shouldn’t be too far behind that.

=( Ah dam it, now I wish I was a grade lower and be applying to college this year.
