Not a lot of kids from my HS apply to or get into UVA

What do yall think?

lol. since i answered you on UNC, might as well here.

It is the same as i said for you on UNC...in fact, you might have an even better shot here because its a bit easier out of state in UVa than UNC...

I think its harder to get into UVa from out-of-state than it is to get into UNC.

no. because UNC has quotas, where only 18% of acceptees can be out of state, and UVa does not have that. They can accept as many out of staters as they want, so UNC is MUCH more competetive

Actually, UVA has quotas as well. I think they're required to accept at least two-thirds of its students from Virginia by law in return for funding it gets from the Commonwealth.

And as much as any survey is subjetive, the Princeton Review rates UVA as the #20 Toughest School to Get Into. No doubt, UNC is competitive, but saying that it's moreso for O-O-S than UVA would be arguable.
