out of state

is UW more strict with out of state admissions? would it be more difficult for someone OOS to be admitted compared to someone with the same stats but in-state?
also, is financial aid for out-of-staters pretty pathethic?
i'm also wondering if it's worth it to attend UW (since it's public, not private) from OOS, due to the fact that it's more than 21k a year.

Yes, it is harder to get in from OOS. I don't know about aid but I do know that most of it is directed towards in-state students. For you attending UW would depend on what your other options are. If you're from a state with solid public schools, then I would consider them. The OOS tuition is high, but I feel the education is better than what you would be getting from many smaller colleges (at least in the NW, UPS, Reed and Whitman are great schools though) In the end it depends on where you feel better. If you prefer a smaller private with smaller class sizes and perhaps not a ton of school spirit and sports, then go with that. If the big school fits you, UW is a great option.

Unfortunately, I live in Nevada, and the education here is a joke.
