Out-of-state

Okay, so what would you say are the "average" stats of an out of state student?

Weighted GPA: 4.35
SAT I: 2100
SAT II: 730/730

what's the acceptance rate for oos undergrads? i hear that it's 4% but i think that sounds waaaaay too low.

<a href="http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Prospect/Adm_fr/Frosh_Prof07.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Prospect/Adm_fr/Frosh_Prof07.htm</a></p>

According to link, ~4% of all the freshmen applications were those of OOS students, and ~16% of all the OOS students who applied were accepted.

^ you posted for international,
its actually 25% of OOS admitted, and 10% of apps were OOS

What zero786 said... UCLA might be attracting more out-of-state/international students to accumulate its name recognition abroad, the same way Michigan currently is.

Whoops, thanks for pointing that out zero. I can't edit my post though :/

not sure but i was 4.5, 2100 and 680/670

r there any out of state stereotypes? r they supposed to be smarter or not necessarily?

i don't there are any OOS stereotypes.. except that they generally don't speak the same slanguage as people in cali do, if that counts. lol./

i think a 2100 SAT score seems WAY too low. what was the source? the stats may be correct, but it seems odd that they would deny admission to CA residents with 2200s but admit OOS applicants with 2100s. I think you should aim for a 2200+ to be competitive.

i was sat 2100

sat II: 710/770/800

gpa: 4.2

They care more about GPA than SAT scores...
