<p>people always say its so much harder out of state. but on the freshman admit profile thing on the website, it seems that around the same percentage of applicants got admitted for both in state and out of state. are the people applying from out of state just a whole lot smarter? or what?</p>

<p>Actually, for 2008, 28% of out of state applicants were admitted while 22% of in state applicants were admitted. What am I missing?</p>
<p>The OOS applicant pool is stronger than the one for instate.</p>
