I want to go to a top tier UC, LA or SD. As you know, they require 2 SAT IIs. Will taking three help my chances? or does it not matter? I heard that they take your two highest SAT II scores. I plan to take Math IIC for sure.
But I'm not sure which out of these to take.
US History
Spanish (I'm Chinese, but I'm not sure if I can get 800 on chinese :/ Sad...
Chemistry.
which is generally regarded as the easiest?

Everybody will say, there are no easy or hard subject tests. What is YOUR best subject out of those. I mean they are all gonna be hard/easy based on what classes you did the best in.

yeah, it really depends what classes you have taken in those subjects. if you have taken an AP course in any one of those subjects, then buy a prep book and brush up on all of the material...if you do that, im sure you'd do fine on either one of those you listed

Listen, I'll just give you a straight answer - U.S. History. Unless you have several years of experience with the language (or you are a native speaker, in which case you have no business taking the language), the proficiency tests in other tongues are difficult. Realize that a lot of the science tests are rote memorization and a high AP score does not necessarily translate into a high SAT II score. If you can retain the information, studying for U.S. History is like reading a book. As to what I suggest, avoid review guides for anything but, unsurprisingly, review. (I can't stand to see people just take a test for the score rather than for long-term retainment of information.) Although a little dry, "The American Pageant" is a good choice. Best of luck and warm regards.

Yea I'm leaning toward us history and chemistry but spanish was just a small consideration because I've done good in my 2 years of spanish. But i wasn't sure.

Also, are there practice books for SAT II Chinese? I heard a lot of people say that is really easy. I can speak and listen but I can't full read the chinese. Also which date is it that has language with hearing?

I'm taking APUSH next year so I guess US history might be the way to go. Also may you answer whether taking more SAT IIs than the minimum will boost my chance in getting into a top tier UC. Lets say all 3 are near 700ish.

Check on the collegeboard website for dates. Some tests, e.g., World History, only occur once or twice a year. When I started doing standardized tests, I used 700 out of 800 on the SAT I was my breaking point- after I achieved these scores, I wouldn't bother with the test again. Let's just say that the first try has ended up being my best with practice and recognization of the "game-like" qualities of the tests. Is there any reason you're shying away from the Literature test?

English is not my strongest subject, so I'm not even considering literature.

Personally I would say chemistry, but I'm more of a science/math person, though it was weird because I did better on chemistry than spanish and I'm a fluent speaker :p oh well, but good luck regardless.
