I haven't seen any thread dedicated to out state transfers. We have problems too, so why don't we talk to see other, write stats, chances, acceptances and questions. This will not only help you but will help future applicants.

Well I'm a California resident attending an OOS private school, so I'm applying as out-of-state though I would get California tuition. Anyone else like me?

I think you'd still get in-state tuition--I'm in the same position, but we're still California residents and should have the right to in-state tuition, I think.

w00t out of state transfer right here. I went to ucb for the summer and fell in love with her... Berkeley that is. So am hoping the budget crises SIGNIFICANTLY effects my admissions decision don't worry govenator am bringing my 40k to help out

yeah, we qualify for in-state tuition, I believe. It sucks, because I was accepted to UCB straight out of high school, but went to a private school instead. And now I'm realizing that it's verrryyyyy expensive and I should have gone to a UC, but it's impossible to get in from an out-of-state private school. BLAH.

I’m transferring from nyu and am really torn because I like it a lot and feel like I’ve been exposed to some amazing opportunities in new york. but I would save a lot of money at berkeley and would live at home. what about you?

from vandy, applied to columbia and nyu (haven’t heard yet) but got into ucla and berkeley. what can i say, i love both coasts. born in LA, lived in ny for a while
