Outdoorsy schools good in math/statistics?

Dang, too many choices. I guess that I would prefer having a huge range of courses to choose from (and take) and to work on cutting edge research with professors. I don’t enjoy discussions too much, but I like it when the professor is easy to approach to ask questions. Though I would also like an “outdoorsy” college. Seems like its hard to find a good balance!

I think I’m quite passionate about math…one thing, I wish I didn’t drop linear algebra this semester, cause I thought I’d be too busy >:( Anyhow, I’m planning to go to grad school, either PhD or Masters, depending on what at I decide to do then. I’m planning on participating on the Putnam competition. I’ve participated in AMC/AIME…too bad haven’t gone further!

I’ll check out the common data set to see what I can find.

How would you say the competitiveness of getting into Waterloo for math is, compared to schools in the US?

Haha nice…seems like those schools are good at alota things

I’ll look into Lewis and Clark, but Reed, isn’t it mainly A LOT of work? Not much play?
