I received a scholarship check made out to me at the end of May, in the amount of $1000. I have already reported it in SIS, and the $1000 has already been subtracted from one of my loans - cant remember which one. I still have the check on me. - Am I allowed to cash it and use it to but back to school materials?

If the $1000 is coming out of a loan from UVA, then you’ll probably need to give them the money or else they’ll charge you with $1000 in the middle of the year when they realize they’re not receiving the scholarship.
