Over 60 units

Hard as I've tried I actually can't find evidence either way so I would suggest doing the same. I don't have any NT work so I don't really care, just sharing what i was told. Counselors etc are notoriously misleading though so I could easily be wrong.

Sstory, what major are you applying for? Your Berkeley supplemental form sounds different than mine.

Engineering

my berkeley supplemental said the same thing and i'm applied math.

I am applying to Haas. Nowhere in my supplemental form is there the text

"Have college transcript(s) in front of you.
2. Identify UC-transferable courses with help of the ASSIST website at Welcome to ASSIST
3. Highlight each UC-transferable course on your transcript(s), completed and in progress.
Do not highlight courses in which you received:
Withdrawal, Incomplete, No Credit, Not Passed or Academic Renewal.

If you repeated a course because you earned a grade of less than C,
Do not highlight the course with the D/F grades;
Do highlight the course with the grade of C or better.
4. Total all highlighted semester units and write total in Semester Units column
in 'All UC-transferable Units' row in the table below."

I do believe that Haas looks at nontransferable coursework.

Hass follows its own rules. I believe the OP was speaking of UC's in general though.

When you guys filled out your Applications it told you what your GPA was at the end didnt it???

That is what they look it at for overall and overall transferable.

No one sits there calculating your GPA on their own. Whatever the number on the APP is that is what it is .

They do look at the grades for preq courses but that is like 8-10 courses at most for science majors, not like 25+ courses where they have to calculate stuff.

Also, being that i have transfered and I have also seen what my transcript looks like at UCLA - they cross stuff out. If it doesnt transfer and it is a W it just gets crossed out.

I was in L&S.

No it actually didn't. The closest to that was inputting each class/term and its grade. It is not hard for them to calculate gpa though when evaluating you by just taking total grade units over total credit units. This was the process I was told they do; and like has been said they cross out any classes you received a "W" or that was NT before calculating/evaluating you.

I didn't have a gpa in my app and i don't think that would be a very good system either. Consider the situation of an out of state applicant, the admissions officer would have to do a course evaluation to figure out which credits would be transferable to determine the GPA. Also, humans tend to make mistakes and admission officers can sort out discrepancies.

In the supplement, Haas applicants are requested to type in their current GPA as it says on their current unofficial/official college transcript.

I'm sure they will recalculate it anyhow. Nonetheless, they do ask for it.

when i applied at the end of the app there was the
"UC GpA"

it auto calculated after i put everything in

were all your units from CCC? If so, thats probably why since they have the CCCT icon next to them and can automatically determine your gpa if they're all articulated over assist. If you have some courses that aren't articulated i think they would have to do a course evaluation before determining the gpa.
