Over qualified rejected...

I wanted that T-shirt. I guess putting where else I applied was retarded of me.

If you are truly over qualified, then why worry? These threads are on the forum of every selective school. I understand disappointment, but don’t blame the school for making the best decisions they can.

Not sure your post makes sense to me. How can you be over qualified. The colleges look for the most qualified applicants they can admit.

Sorry, but Oberlin doesn’t reject people because they’re “overqualified.” Must have been some other reason. Sorry…

There are schools that waitlist overqualified applicants, but they’re infamous for it. I don’t think Oberlin’s one of them.

I, too, put where else I was applying (and yes, I did get into some colleges that are ranked higher than Oberlin), so like dave said, there must be another reason. You might consider having a college counselor call the admissions office to ask why you were rejected.

Sorry about the rejection, but there are so many other great options out there. Keep your mind open!

I checked your stats on one of your recent posts, and I don’t know why you consider yourself overqualified!

Anyway, it’s about fit, not just stats.

I think RigaTony is gone.

maybe in his Why Oberlin essay he used the phrase “■■■■■■■■ of me” or indicated that what he really wanted was a T-shirt…
