What's it going to be?

I predict an even 10%.

Maybe 12% if we're lucky :)

I think it'll be about 17-18%

^i agree. between 15-18% i believe.

Based on the drastic increase in applicants, I'm guessing 9-11%. I'm praying for higher though (aka praying I get accepted).

yield for duke in past years was ~50%

From college board of past, I think the Percent applicants admitted could be 18%
AT LEAST !
College Search - Duke University - Duke - Admission

4%. Really.

4% ??? You must be kidding

If Duke wins the NCAA tournament, I don't think it will be taking too many people off the waitlist this year..

RD - 15% Overall - 18-19%

^^
Duke will probably lose to Nova in the regional semis, then maybe Pittsburgh (#1 seed!) in the regional finals, or UNC (ha!) in the Final Four.

This coming from a Jayhawk fan, so feel free to disregard this.

I personally think Duke is gonna screw up against Texas. I have Texas beating Duke..

^ Yessss...I live in Austin, so if that happens, this place will go nuts.

It's doubtful that it'll drop to 10% like some people said.

Weren't 1/3 of ED applicants admitted? Thats almost three times your acceptance estimations for RD. Is that normal or is this a strange year due to the economic situation?
I wish I applied ED...

1,600 person class minus the ~500 ED = 1,100 RD spots. With 50% yield that's 2,200 acceptances. 2,200/22,500 = 9.7% RD!

^oh eff my life. someone please tell me there is something wrong with that calculation.

NOOOOO, DUKE I WANT YOU SO BADLY :(

no way is it going to be 10%.

Guys, he's not too far off, but I guarantee they'll accept more than 2200. Everyone's yield will be lower this year, meaning they'll resort to the waitlist more.

Again, I'm going to predict 2700 acceptances (meaning a 12% admit rate) with a heavy reliance on the waitlist later.

P.S. Are y'all naive, or just in denial? HYPS are expecting RD rates of ~6%. Duke is one of the top 7 or 8 schools in the country. Of course the rate is going to be really low!
