I just got an email from BBB advertising some laundry products available. One was an overdoor drying rack. I remember last summer, discussions about what to bring to college, how to fit it all in. Young ladies were bringing drying racks for their "delicates". Wanted to pass this on, since it looks like it's a space saver.

Disclaimer: I have a son, so I don't have a dog in this hunt, and I don't work for BBB. I just wanted to pass this on.

I just looked at this, not for my son, but for myself. I really don’t care for it. I think that one where there is room to drape a sweater for flat drying is more useful at college. They really collapse when not in use, so it does not take up too much space. JMO.

Like the general idea, but over-the-door just doesn’t do it at S’s dorm. Last year in a double, he ended up putting a multiple hook hanger over the foot end of the lofted bed, worked well. This year in a single, the over-hooks were too shallow to accommodate door thickness. A second hanger also failed because the metal of the over-hooks was too thick to allow door to close. We looked into and actually bought a swinging arm stand which was supposed to fit into the door hinge BEHIND the door, but i think S thought it too complicated to install and never bothered with it.
