Overflow Dorm Living = BAD NEWS BEARS?!?!?!

I got the email today from cal poly housing that says I’m one of the lucky people who are getting tossed into the 3 or 4 (or more) person dorms.

Can someone who knows someone who was in this situation before please let me know their experiences with it? Is it a problem having 3 or 4 people, are the dorms bigger to accomodate the people? Any info about it?

Better yet - if youve lived in a dorm with the overflow 3 or 4 people situation please write a little about your experience.

Anyone else get put into this situation?

If you are in a red brick dorm I believe they just stick you into the conference room and load it up with bunks. Then, the RAs are on a zero tolerance policy for any alcohol and will kick someone out of the dorms for any infraction (and therefore free up a bed in a normal room).

Last year my daughter got the same notice. I called housing to question it since she had paid for the year etc. early on. Their response was that there was nothing they could do. Lo and behold a few days later D received word that that she now was in a double in the dorm she requested. Don't know if complaining by me had anything to do with it. This year she will be in Serro Vista.

i am in the EXACT same situation.... woohoo... but maybe it won't be so bad? but i'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a double.
