Finally go housing...overflow quad. The room is big (19x35) but not sure what that means or if this housing temporary. Does anyone know?

Saw one last year, a modified lounge for overflow. There were four students there, each one had a bed, desk, dresser, standalone closet unit. They chose to each take a corner and built a little room setting in each corner, and had a middle commons area with futons and chairs. They liked it and stayed there the whole year.

I have the same, but my room is in bursley. At least you’re in south, so you have that going for you.

I don’t mind the room really. If what lb5 says is true, then atleast we get large rooms compared to some of the doubles (which i put in my application)

I got an overflow triple in Markley. I called the housing office to see what this means, and it isn’t bad at all. The guy said doubles in Markley are 11x12, and i have a triple that measures 14x26. He said that this is actually a lot better, and i’ll end up with a lot more space.

Oh you’re lucky! I was friends with the people of four different quads in south quad. You’ll get all of the stuff that a previous poster mentioned, and it’s definitely not temporary. The rooms are huge and you’ll definitely want a couch, table, and tv and stuff like that! Most of them all had their stuff in one corner, and you also get one tiny closet with a door. There’ll be two doors for entry, on two adjacent walls. Be prepared for your room to become one of the hangout rooms for your friends lol
