I was just wondering what the overlap was between the AP Bio and Bio SAT IIs.... Does anyone know? Is the Sat easier or harder than the AP?

Also... Can someone tell me how the whole e/m thing works? I'm kind of confused. I thought they were two different tests but Collegeboard made it seem like it was one, with two different sections or something? I dunno.

Well, I can tell you that I got a 4 on AP Biology and a 640 on the SAT IIs. I found the multiple choice sections of the two tests to be very different from one another... the SAT IIs (or at least the ones that I took) asked a lot of questions about predicting the results to experiments and how you'd set up experiments in general and had more comparative anatomy questions than the AP.

And to answer you're question about the E/M thing... you take either E or M, but they're part of the same test. Basically, everyone in the nation answers the first section of questions. Then, when you get to a certain number (it might be 61, but I don't remember exactly), you have the option of taking E or M. If you opt to take E you skip the M section of the booklet and if you pick M you skip the E section. Both sections are in the same test but you have to pick which of the two you'd rather take along with the general questions which everyone answers.

I hope that's clear (it's a bit hard to explain nonverbally).

Ahh I see thanks for the help. I get the E/M thing now.

SAT II Biology is easier than AP Bio.
