MCB 102 is biochemistry. I'm not familiar with dental school reqs but from what you say about the reqs, it sounds like Chem1a/3a/3b is the chem req and the biochem is MCB 102.

For med schools, there is no real biochem req, but there is a chem req, 1 yr gchem, 1 yr ochem.

So by taking Chem1a/3a/3b/MCB 102, you fulfill reqs for both med/dental schools but in different ways

Side note, if I am not mistaken there should a physiology course requirement for pre-dent. Most pre-health tracks other than med require physiology class often.

Sometimes, dental schools that require physio, will require a lab course for physiology. The only courses that meet a physio w/ lab requirement are in IB. The problem is that both lab and lecture are heavily reserved for IB majors. The main course used is IB 132/L. It is offered in spring and summer. In spring there are only eight lab sections, three in summer. In spring the class has tons of reserved seats for declared IB majors, in summer it is open to all.

IB 132 like 131 is phase 1 priority even for lecture. I have heard of seniors who phase 2'ed and didn't get into 131, same applies for 132
