Overnight Host Program Question About Airplane Ticket

So I received the free overnight host program thing and it said my airplane tickets and other things were paid for.

My question is that how do I pick which airline and flight to go on, I want to go on the same flight as my friend, but she has to pay for her ticket. I want to go on the Southwest flight number 483, please help.

when did you get your confirmation that they received your request and accepted it?
did you apply for the bridges program?

What do you mean if i applied for the bridges program?
I sent my rsvp in today, so I dont think they confirmed it yet. All i know is that the thing said I had free plane tickets, and other things. Do I have a choice in which plane and which flight im taking?

Is it for bridges Senior Weekend 2009 (April 16-18)?

Dear Prospective Cal Freshman:

I am delighted that I can invite you to campus for the 2009 Overnight Host Program. OHP has provided extensive information about the program on this website. I hope that you will review all the information with your parents, complete the registration process, and participate in a great introduction to the Cal experience.

We provide a no-cost overnight experience to only about 800 admitted students who would not be likely to visit Berkeley without this program. In selecting students to participate, Berkeley used the following criteria: students who participated in major outreach programs (e.g… EAOP, Puente, MESA, Upward Bound, Talent Search, etc.); students who attend high schools that score low on the statewide ranking of academic performance measures (the Academic Performance Index); or students from low-income families who attend California private high schools.

Please read about the Overnight Host Program carefully, and join us for a wonderful weekend.

Sincerely,

That is what I got, it is on april 17th to 18th I dont know what the bridges program is

yeah, different. I’d recommend checking out the website then and/or calling their office to get more info… doesn’t really say much in that letter other than that you’re invited…

Edit- since they’re paying for it, they’ll probably book it too… so your friend should probably wait 'til you get a flight number and all that other stuff.

thank you very much, I looked around and I didnt find anything. But thanks =]

no prob. sorry for the confusion. :)

you already got a free ticket and stuff… i don’t think u can change it to ur friends. i think ur friend should change his/hers to ur flight…

i think they mailed the airplane ticket last year. if i remember correctly

Do you remember how fast they mailed it? Was in within a few days of the flight or a few weeks from the flight. Thanks =D

my friends and I almost missed our flight because the airplane ticket package was delayed by some storm. Well, they got it a couple hours before the flight but i still haven’t received mine so i called the person in charge of OHP and they just told me the confirmation code.

oh thats no fun, well I hope I can email or someway manage to be able to have a choice on my flight to berkeley. Do you remember which airline you went on? haha

Does anybody know how long it takes them to process your confirmation?

I RSVP yesterday and faxed in my required documents, but no word yet.

yea i have the same question does anyone know when?

i went on southwest.

Um i got notified like a week before… ohp
