A few minutes after finding out my decision, I RSVPed for the Overnight Host Program. They said that I would get an email within 48 hours. I haven't gotten one yet. So, I checked online to RSVP section again, but I received
"We are very sorry ...

due to overwhelming response, we are unable to accommodate your request to fly free to our Senior Weekend Program."

Is this the generic format for those wanting to RSVP or is it my confirmation?
I was looking forward to the program too!

I didn’t get an email confirmation like they said I would, but when I checked myEvents and clicked “My request…” that’s what I got. =[
Did anyone get in?!

this is what i see…

I’m extremely sad right now, but still confused. I suppose I should wait a bit before directly contacting them. Thanks for your help UC123Cali

Do you have questions about what campus life is like at Berkeley? Do you want to learn more about the unique academic and cultural opportunities available to students at the premier public university in the country? Maybe you have questions or concerns about your major, financial aid, housing, or academic support services.

If so, the Overnight Host Program is a great opportunity for you to get the answers to these and other questions about UC Berkeley. The program connects you with a volunteer host who will give you a first-hand look at Cal student life. During your stay you will explore the Berkeley campus, attend seminars, connect with campus resources, meet other new students, and see Cal from a current student’s perspective.

We encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity; however, spaces in the program are limited and usually fill up very quickly.

If it makes anyone else feel any better I RSVPed at about 1 AM the night I got my acceptance and I still get the “We are very sorry” letter too. I really wanted to enjoy that free ride oh well.
