Overnight stay

Does Boston College host prospective students overnight? Has anyone (parent, BC student, prospective student) heard anything about this? I really would like to stay there to see what the atmosphere in a dorm is like and everything.

Yeah I would really like to do that too. I'm hoping to do that in my top choices of schools after I've been accepted and maybe making my decision on that.

Same here! i think that is the only way I will be able to make a good decision. Does anyone know anything about staying?????

I looked on their website, and they only thing I found was a day visit program for accepted students, where you go from 9-2 or something like that, and go to classes, and eat in the dining halls. I haven't seen or heard anything about overnights.

hey jangel86.. could you give me a link to that page you found about a day visit program please... that'd be awesome!

yea, you they do not have an overnight visit thing but there is a day visit program as jangel86 said. i actually did it myself in November. If you guys want to get to see what the classes are like and talk to a student about everything its definitely a good opportunity i suggest that all you guys who are going to be deciding in the spring take advantage of this. I got to sit in two classes and i had a chance to see what the professors are like and the girl who took me around was really nice and i got to know a lot more about the school that i primarily knew. so if you guys are deciding whether to do a day visit i definitely reccomend it.
this is what it says on the website

DAY VISIT PROGRAM

One of the best ways to become acquainted with Boston College is to spend an actual class day with a student. The Day Visit Program matches freshman and transfer applicants with a current Boston College undergraduate for the morning, including classes and an informal tour of the campus. Day visits on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday begin at 9:45 a.m., and on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:15 a.m. For more information or to schedule a day visit, please contact the Day Visit Coordinator at least two weeks prior to your desired date of visit at (617) 552-3378. Day visits are available by appointment only during the fall and spring semesters.

thanks BGgirl1604 and jangle86 for the info. i'll definitely try to take advantage of the day visit program.
