Overnight visit?

Hello, So heres my situation, I live in philadelphia and I applied to brown under ED and i was deferred. I am in the process of sending extra things like the Mid-year report, more rec’s, and a personalized letter. Now, since brown is about 4 hrs away from here, i thought maybe i could do an overnighter in early feb. when they start again. Should i go? and if any one has been on one there what does it entail. i would take a train and would someone meet me there? thanks alot opinions are helpful!

have you seen this site?

if you check back in a few weeks you should be able to use it to plan your stay (find a host, figure out what classes you want to attend, etc.)

the easiest way to get there from philly is probably amtrak. the campus is an easy walk from the station but if you have a lot of bags you can also just get a cab for fairly cheap

it's definitely worth it, especially if you are considering a couple other schools closely and are trying to make up your mind.

if you set up your visit through the site, you may be able to get a host to come meet you and generally show you around (in addition to giving you a place to stay). in general though, you should expect to be fairly independent and thoroughly take charge of what you want to see and do while you are there.

thanks dcircle, i did see that site n was kinda bummed they werent available during this month but i can understand the how now isnt a desirable time..but everytime i think about doing this i get very excited about being independant there and stuff...it'll be cool..im happy the campus isnt far away from the train station or then i can catch a cheap cab too

i think the reason why they aren't available this month is because the students at the college are on break...there wouldn't be that much to see =)
