Overnight Visit

DS would like to visit Cornell over part of his Spring Break and sit in on classes, stay in a dorm, etc. The only thing he's found on the Cornell website is a link about the Red Carpet Visits, which are during his school (and are only for juniors).

He went last year over his Spring Break, did the tour and sat in on courses (but didn't stay overnight), but would like to return for a more up-close and personal view.

Any advice?

i host for the red carpet society. high school juniors are given preference, but rcs certainly does host seniors as well. in fact, the majority of the students i hosted last semester were seniors. i know that rcs registration begins on February 1st, so i recommend applying then, even as juniors are given ‘preference.’

Thanks for the info – will RCS hosting continue into the second half of March? We are trying to arrange what we can over Spring Break.

According to the website, spring semester hosting takes place between “Sunday, February 17 - Thursday, March 6.”
also…if DS has any friends at Cornell, he could always arrange to stay with them whenever, as long as its okay with them. i know that i plan on having some accepted students i know from my hometown stay with me in late march (i guess this is their spring break as well)
