I'm just wondering if Duke puts together a special event for prospective freshmen in April -- overnighter, classes, etc?

Thanks --

Same here!!

after getting in? yeah, your acceptance package will contain info about what's called Blue Devil Days.

Yup, blue devil days. There are usually 3(?) sometime mid-april (might be late march this year). There are organized events throughout the day and prospective students may request to stay with a student the night before.

If you can make it to Blue Devil Days, it's a good opportunity. Ask for an overnight in the dorm. Check online fro dates. I don't know when they are posted, but you will receive info in the mail.

Yes its called blue devil days. If you got into Duke...you should make every effort to go. The official stuff is like any other of the peer institutions but when you come to Duke you'll know if you love t or hate it. Many people here, myself included, had admission to Duke and many other schools in the top ten, were going to go to another schools, came to Duke and fell in love. I'm not saying that will for sure happen to you, I am saying you are going to regret big time saying no to this school if you don't visit it first (and once you visit it your probably not going to say no anyways....:-) ).
