Some of the other schools I'm considering have 2-day admitted students programs that have an overnight, and I think these are really helpful for getting to know the school. It doesn't look like Vanderbilt offers anything other than the open house on the 13th, but would there be any way for me to organize an overnight?

It’s called Dore for a Day. Tons of prospective students do it. All of April is reserved for admitted students early. Dead week might be a good time (15th thru 19th, exams begin the 23rd). Sooner the better, professors tend to cram in tests/papers in right before exams start.

It says here that the event ends at 4pm. Do people tend to stay with their host for the night?

Oh shoot you’re right. I think I was confusing dore-for-a-day with Mosaic, where students stay overnight… Hmm…

Here’s a post explaining. Guess Vandy doesn’t offer it.

It still might be possible to arrange. We host prospective students with friends/family here all the time.

From Vandy Admission blog:
“While our office doesn’t offer overnight stays for prospective students, you are always welcome to arrange a stay of your own with a current student you know from high school or have met through other avenues.”
