Gap stores are located in nearly every shopping mall in the country; they carry only their own branded clothing (men, women, children, babies). Juicy I believe is a label that Neiman's, Saks, and boutiques carry (Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue stores -- only a few compared to Gap), mainly women but also men and children -- though I'm not completely sure about that (it's not on my shopping list...).

wow! i mean juicy's not that big, but gap is like the mcdonald's of clothes! do you just wear clothes made in bangladesh? what is it like over there? what do teenagers do for fun? i guess i just assumed it would be a lot more commercialized, like hong kong or dubai...

I didn't have any experience with people talking about williams' high ranking. (unlike at dartmouth where I asked a kid why he went there and he said "it's an ivy") My host and all her roommates were basically just wearing normal clothes, sweatpants, jeans, tank tops, t-shirts etc. They seemed very laid back and friendly. My host had a ton of homework to do that night, so she sat on the floor of the common room with the two of us prospies and her roommates and worked and answered any of our questions at the same time. It was such a big difference between williams and oberlin, where I saw my host for all of 30 minutes the whole time I was there. It's weird that people who were there the same day got such different impressions of the school.

We basically wear clothes made in Bangladesh as they are unbeleivably cheap ($1 ish) and are of extemely good quality. I have found those clothes to be as good as branded ones (GAP, Crocodile etc). In fact, Bangladesh exports a lot of garments to US and then they are retailed in US at obcenely high prices.

I think the different impression might have to do with peoples' different personalities and perhaps the different levels in which williams "fits" them

being an international i missed out on the previews :( :'( can someone please tell me more about the dorms? and the food (hehe)? it'd be nice to hear from a pre-frosh...
