<p>I got in EA and am planning on doing an overnight. I already visited but want to get a better feel for the place, meet some people, sit in on some classes, etc. My question is whether I would get more out of one of the April programs or if it would be better to just do a regular overnight thing. Thanks!</p>
<p>I say regular, because the April programs (at least last year) were FLOODED with visitors, and the fact that you and everybody else is visiting at the same time could potentially alter your perception of the school in a way it wouldn't be altered otherwise.</p>
<p>Class offerings on Fridays are really scarce, so see if you can visit earlier.</p>
<p>I second what unalove said. The first time we visited was during an Open House and we were surrounded by prospective students rather than U of C students. It was difficult to get a true picture of what the school is like. We visited again a different time and liked it much, much better.</p>
<p>My S has visited twice; both times outside of "official" UChicago activities. He plans to do so again in April. He's not going to anyone's accepted students festivities. He prefers the unedited version. :)</p>
