overwhelming greek life

I am a high school senior considering attending Ole Miss. I am not opposed to joining a sorority, but I generally hear that the Greek life at Ole Miss is very overwhelming compared to that of other Mississippi schools. If this is the case, I would probably not rush if I went to Ole Miss. How does the Greek life at Ole Miss differ from other Mississippi schools? Would not rushing at Ole Miss make it very difficult to be involved on campus?

About a quarter of the student body is Greek. Not sure what you mean by overwhelming, but the houses are very active and participate in numerous campus activities just like any other student organization. Being Greek is a lot of fun and you will develop some life long friendships. I would do it all again. Ole Miss greeks I think are more active than Miss State for instance and you will enjoy the experience. While going through rush, you will find a house that you are comfortable in.
