<p>I see some people in this thread talking about finding the party at Owl Weekend and such, and I just wanted to stress a few points.</p>
<p>Just be smart you aren't 21 and you can get in trouble(your admission being revoked type trouble). If you want to drink, feel free, I drank when I visited, but do so safely.</p>
<p>Mainly two points. 1) Don't go overboard, the last thing Rice needs is to send a prospie to the hospital and have their stomach pumped. Your host should make sure that doesn't happen, but sometimes people get overzealous. 2) Keep it in a room. Once again your host should tell you this, but they could forget. Just don't bring drinks outside and don't drink at any parties they might bring you to, just do it inside a room.</p>
<p>I say this on behalf on the Rice undergrads, if you screw up, it could end up getting us screwed. Leebron would love a reason to justify changing the alcohol policy. So for our sake, and you own, just use common sense.</p>

<p>there's no lack of "spots". some of my friends signed up for an owl for the first owl weekend and didn't get an owl, meaning more students signed up for prospies than there were prospies. dont worry, there will be room for you.</p>

<p>I would try to apply as early as possible. It's true that for the first owl weekend their were more hosts than owls, but we are expecting a lot more owls for the second.</p>
