Our D got a scholarship to Oxford as well! She has wanted to go to Oxford since she was about 10 but never really thought she would be lucky enough to get a scholarship which would make it possible.

If you search 'Oxbridge' you will find several threads with information about past Oxbridge attendees and scholarship winners. Most of them had a wonderful experience and highly recommend the program. They say you have to be truly exceptional to win a scholarship...that it is quite an honor as the odds are so astronomically against you in the process. So congratulations! Have a wonderful time this summer.

Rowingslife, I also received a partial scholarship. The financial director said that there was a significant increase in applicants for scholarships, and so many well qualified people. I agree that the program is expensive. I am getting corporations to sponsor me. In return for their sponsorship, I will be helping their nearby chapters. It's a great way to get money. Make sure you have copies of your transcript, your acceptance letter, the courses you will be taking, and the benefits of them helping you out. Oxbridge Academic Programs is a nonprofit organization so they can claim the money on their taxes, and helping you is a way of them helping the community. I am taking Medicine and the Brain as my major so I am also contacting the American Academy of Neurology. You really just have to sell yourself. Of course, you may not get businesses to pay for the remainder of your tuition, but their money can help.

i just got the letter saying i got half a scholarship to oxford prep
i have no idea how i'm gonna make up the other half but i REALLY want to go....

i think i'll have to decline their scholarship because i have no way to get another $3,395(plus airfare and spending money)
at least someone else might be able to go.....
good luck to you mckyle9423

I have applied for the Cambridge tradition and will be in dire need to find grants, scholarships and sponsorships. Anyone with financial difficulties applying for an Oxbridge program, please help!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these for-profit programs don’t offer financial aid. You’re much better off going to a university-sponsored program in the US.

That’s actually incorrect. Many programs - even for-profits - offer extensive financial aid. Oxbridge is one of them. Although their scholarships are extremely competitive, they are offered.

I’ve just sent in my full application to the Oxford Tradition, but I’m worrying about acceptance. My grades should be more than fine as well as my personal statement, but since I’m applying so much later than January 8th, I’m freaking myself out about acceptance. How fast do these things tend to fill up?

For those of you who applied for the financial scholarship for Oxbridge, did you just get your references to mail the reference letters to the New York office? my reference has already sent my reference ltter in but my actual application is going to get mailed to new york in a few days.

I’m applying to the Cambridge Prep experience and i have fulfilled all of the requirements except for the personal statement. Can you please enlighten me as to what to put on this statement? Thanks any help is appreciated.

My daughter had the best time of her life at Cambridge this past summer. She took Philosophy and International Espionage. Lots of really smart, academically oriented kids from around the world. Expensive but worth the price.
