<p>Hey, does anyone know of any competitions or additional qualifications that would look impressive on a Cambridge application.</p>
<p>This is 100% dependent on what course you apply for at Cambridge because they will ignore irrelevant ECs. Eg if you are intending to apply to study English, acting in a Shakespeare play is good. Lab research would be ignored. The opposite would be true if you were applying for Natural Sciences.</p>
<p>Note that the application deadline for 2010 entry has already passed.</p>
<p>All of the above is relevant to students applying to enrol as an undergraduate at Cambridge directly. If you are instead planning to study there through a study abroad programme, contact the study abroad office at your school for assistance because the requirements are often very different.</p>
