Hi, I'm a junior in high school and I have a few questions/issues with the Oxford admissions process.

I know that Oxford puts little to no weight on GPA/Extracurriculars and instead on AP Tests and SAT scores.

I don't know if I really have a chance at Oxford. My SAT score is pretty high (2340), but I imagine that there are plenty of 2400s applying there too.

Apparently their minimum requirements are a 2100 on the SATs and at least 3 AP tests that I score at least 5 in. I'm not too worried about scoring 5s on the AP Exams, but I want to study business, which leaves me with two main choices (I won't count MEM unless it's my last shot).

I can either apply for Economics and Management or Engineering, Economics and Management. To be honest, I'm really good at physics and mathematics (they've been a part of me all my life), but when it comes down to it, I really don't like them. I'm simply studying them to further college chances- not exactly ethical, but college apps are a fight to the death I hear. I suppose if I really had to, I could live with another 4 years of the courses.

From sophomore year, I have a 5 in AP Biology, and I am taking AP Physics C, AP Calculus BC, and AP US History this year. Thus by the time college applications roll by, I won't have a single business AP exam result to show for like AP Economics.

Oxford's website stated that they wanted 3 AP exam results in subjects related to the subject I'm interested in- well that throws out every option but Calc which makes me worried. Should I take AP Economics outside of school or something to make up for my lack of business APs?

To summarize, I really want to get into Oxford as an Undergrad and take Economics and Management, but:

A. I'm not sure my scores are good enough
B. I feel like I'm stuck with Engineering, Economics and Management (which I still think is a decent choice) since my courses are directed mainly towards Engineering/Science.

Any advice/input?
