With only a few short weeks until the decision deadline I'm stumped. I have been accepted into both Oxford College of Emory and Wofford College.

Oxford/Emory is definitely more renowned and holds a better reputation. However by going here, I would spend every cent I had paying for it. And that is assuming that tuition does not go up in four years. This includes the financial aid I have received. My parents make under 100k so I would be able to write off any possible future debt that goes above 10k.

I am also considering Wofford. A school that is up and coming. It has been garnering some pretty good rankings and is just starting to get recognized more and more. If I went to Wofford I would have anywhere from 50-80k left.

If money were no problem, I would go to Oxford simply because of the academic standing. However, I plan to attend Grad. school.

My question is this. Would it be better to go to Wofford, save money for grad. school, and graduate with a good reputation. Or would it be better to go to Emory, leave myself penniless going into grad. school, but have the notoriety of Emory behind my name?

Edit: Campus location holds no importance to me. Also I plan to major in History.
