so transfer students have the privilege of NOT being able to live on central campus. i know baits is on north and oxford is a 15 minute walk from central.. but which is better and why? thanks!

right now i'm leaning towards baits because the pictures and virtual tours they have of oxford on the housing website isn't looking too great -_-

Forgiven,

I lived on Oxford last year as a Trasnfer. While it is indeed a 15min walk to campus, it is far better than living on North. There is a bus--"the link"--that stops right in front of Oxford and goes to MLB, CC Little, S. University and Dennison, etc. Without the bus, Oxford may be more inconvenient, but with it, I'd say it's a much better option than north. As for the quality of Oxford vis-a-vis Baits, I don't know--maybe someone else can chime in.

Good luck.

I agree that staying at oxford, it will be easier and faster getting to central campus. However, the rooms at Baits are bigger and nicer, and a lot of people like the peacefulness of north campus. It all depends on what you prefer.

i heard the north campus buses get extremely crowded and gross.

They are now offering singles at Oxford and Baits. I personally would choose Oxford over Baits because it is at least possible to walk to campus. But Baits isn't that bad - the rooms are larger than most - and the buses come every 5 minutes during the peak times. There are way more students at Baits. But I like Oxford. It's located in a nice residential neighborhood, across the street from the Arb (a big nature area owned by the U). And it's less than a 10 minute walk to South University where there are a bunch of stores, restaurants, etc.

neverminnnnd. it looks like i'll be in northwood 3 :T
i thought i would be an incoming sophomore, but they're considering me a junior.. so baits and oxford won't be choices for me. it's just northwood.
