Oxford PPE Chances?

I'm an American high school grad, rejected after interview at Oxford last year. I am trying one more time this year with the following resume:
-2350 Combined SAT score
-800 SAT II World History
-800 SAT II Math 2
-730 SAT II US History
-118 TOEFL
-5's in AP World History, AP Environmental Science, AP English Language & Composition, AP Calculus AB, AP US History, AP US Government
-4's in AP Comparative Government, AP Literature, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Physics B
-Language&Composition teacher offered to write me a recommendation for Oxford.
-Significant ECs in mathematics + politics + international relations + business + law. I won't specify ECs for personal reasons.
-Scored relatively high on last year's TSA.

*One major problem: my AP scores senior year might be problematic. I'm applying to PPE and I'm guessing those 4's on Comp. Government and Micro/Macro won't be taken kindly. Should I be looking to retake these AP's come next May?

Your stats should qualify you for an interview. As you know, the interview is less of a "get to know you"than “see how you would tackle an unfamiliar problem.” In all likelihood, the interview is where you fell short last year, and what will make the difference this year. Only you know what you felt post-interview, and what you can improve upon.

As for retaking the AP’s, the tests are in May; decisions come out well before then. If you get a conditional offer, you can cross that bridge at that time.

I’m more concerned of the effect of the scores in the early process: am i making a fuss over the 4’s?

Nothing you can do about it.

I’d also suggest widening your net, as I am not sure you will see a different result the second time around, unless you really nail the interview.
