Well since Texans like to travel in packs, some of friends, who have below 3.0 GPAs, but SATs above Oxfords 75th percentile wanted to see how feasible it is for them to go there, while I start at Emory College

I don't want to give them any false hope, the chance is slim to none

Think of it this way, there are tens of thousands of applicants who have stellar SATs, GPAs, ECs, etc...
Why should the admissions committee choose your friends over those other applicants??

oxford college has tens of thousands of applicants?

Freshman Class Statistics:
SAT Range (25th - 75th Percentile): 1100-1290
ACT Range (25th - 75th percentile): 22-27
GPA Range (25th - 75th percentile): 3.2 - 3.8

... How far below a 3.0?

just barely under. but with over 1400 sat's. smart guys. just lazy

Early Decision... it will be their only hope.

man i might just have to go somewhere in chicago i guess. we just want a good city really. im the one who wants the academics i guess

No offense, but I think you may find that "pack" mentality doesn't do a whole lot for you in college...I think which college you decide to go to is a very personal choice and either you or some of your friends are bound to be unhappy if you arbitrarily decide to go to the same school. Just my two cents. :-)

well we'll all end back in dallas some day for sure. me at least, since my familys been in the bounds of texas for 150 years

How unfortunate.
