P.A programs

I was told to ask this here. What are some good P.A programs (that are not B.S/M.S dual programs) in NY and the surrounding states?

[Physician Assistant Programs](<a href=“Home | PAEA”>Home | PAEA)

the ones that say B, M combined, those are the ones where you have to be in their undergrad program in order to be in their graduate program right?

Yes…there is a key on the site.

RIT has a decent PA program, with good placement record.

RIT is a duel program though.

Actually there is very little dueling at RIT–except for those crazy guys in Society for Creative Anachronism.

Technically, RIT’s PA program isn’t dual enrollment either–it’s a combined program with a compressed (3 year) undergrad portion.

I called up and they said you have to be enrolled in their B.S program.

^^^Um… that’s what a combined program means.

You need to be enrolled in that particular undergrad program and meet certain performance standards in order to be admitted to the MS portion of the program.

A dual enrollment program means you’re enrolled in BOTH programs at the same time. (Which you’re not in a combined program.)

That website doesn’t even say that RIT is a combined program. It only say that it offers a B in PA.

It’s combined (see below link), and they’re transitioning as of 2011 to the BS/MS program exclusively; the BS-only program should be phased out within the next year or two.
