p.e. and art grades on transcripts? please help =(!~

Hi everyone, i got a C in my body dynamics class...long story; but i really didnt deserve it honestly.

I really REALLY want to go to UPENN!! so would this "C" show up on my transcripts? or be calculated into my university GPA? ive heard people say no to both but i want an accuarte answer. please help =( sorry for any grammatical errors...thanks in advance to everyone replying and taking their time to read this!

It will show up on the transcript, but they will not care about it. Penn only cares about core curriculum (Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Foreign Language etc.) Classes like gym and electives such as art and band don’t matter.

^correct, but I would like to add that your overall U.W g.p.a and class rank will be lowered. Maybe even dramatically. They can recalculate your g.p.a, which I really doubt colleges go through the hassle, and they cant recalculate your rank.

True. Thanks for the information Samonuh and physicsboy32!

Well my school ranks by weighted GPA and doesn’t add P.E. grades, so I don’t encounter that problem. I’m sure if a college sees you got all As/Bs in your core classes and a C in gym, you’ll be fine regardless of the calculated GPA.

Thank you Samonuh! Hopefully it wont be a problem =(. Thanks again :D

ur screwed. they do consider all grades in calculating gpa that C is going to hurt alot.

Whether or not the C shows up on your transcript and is calculated into your GPA depends on the school you go to. At my school, we get a P/F for P.E. You should ask your counselor about it.

University of Pennsylvania really focuses a lot on GPA. If you’ve gotten all A’s up until now, one C shouldn’t make or break you, especially since it wasn’t in a core course.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. They only consider core classes, which are classes involving math, social studies, science, English, or a foreign language. Why would Penn care how well you did in gym class?

@UFOninja: Thanks for the information! =)

@:Samonuh: Thanks again once more! Really appreciate it. =)

@:lalamu112: Like Samonuh said, you can’t say that as a definitive answer you don’t know that for a fact. And your probably just posting negatively since no one chances you as seen on your past threads, most likely since your a ■■■■■ and rude and refer to everyone as having “dilapidated lives & being nerd-****ers”…real mature.
