When son renewed his Ferg p.o. box last summer, the renewal term was only for six months, or until Nov. 2012. He did not receive another notice for renewal. Will the ferg post office remain open so S can renew his p.o.box?

Try renewing online - see this thread

Not sure if it will work if you expired already but it’s worth a shot

I had the same issue with DS. Could not renew online. Called number on receipt and got PostMaster. He said it was because it had expired in November. Said they put slips in the boxes, but since my DS doesn’t check as often as he should, we never got it. Had to send a check addressed to Postmaster and include a $15 late fee in order for them to unlock the box and give it back to him. The post office is open daily now, so you S should be able to go there when he returns and give them a check. As I recall the total was $44.

Thank you, adpmom!

The renewal deadline according to mailer was end of the month (Dec.) I was able to do this online 12/29. I’d give it a shot just in case. You do have to “set up” account first, walks you through, couple of steps.

We rented our PO Box on Aug 10. Did all boxes have to be renewed by Dec 31st? We have not gotten a renewal slip and I was assuming that would happen in Jan based on our sign up date. Ugg, hope I have not missed something here as we sent prescriptions there over the break.

Sniner, my son never received a renewal slip either. I would suggest you go online and set up an account. After setting up an account online so that I could renew my son’s PO Box, I was given the date it was due to expire. Good luck!

Thanks Proudbama. Box did not expire until the end of Jan.
