I have no idea about GPAs, APs etc but I took at least 6 subjects every year which is 1 extra subject per year which isn't particularly required.

My SAT scores are CR: 670, M: 750, W: 620 ... (I sat it a few days after knowing about it! lol)

And my SAT II scores should be in the 700s methinks (and I'd be very upset if I don't get 800 in Math hehe)

I've written a personal essay but can I use this for CommonApp etc?

If anyone would like to see my essay and would be able to provide me with some good feedback, please just PM me with your MSN or AIM ! or whatevz

buuuuuuump

I suppose ur applyin as a transfer??coz u hav already been acceptd(n even spent 2 yrs..I think..)at ANU.......

no i got that during year 8/9

Your only obvious weakness is the SAT I, which is low for the Ivies, Swarthmore, and Stanford. I suggest applying to Princeton and Columbia, since you're so keen on them, and Middlebury, Pepperdine, Pomona, and Colgate because you'll have good chances there. Apply to any of the others you really like. If your SAT IIs come back high, they may compensate.

I dont think that his SAT1 is ''low''.....

Getting into Princeton or Columbia is more difficult than Swarthmore.
BTY Princeton and Columbia are ivys.
His SAT I scores are really low for an international pursuing an ivy school.

I really dont know how u ppl judge a person's SAT scores straight ahead with his or her chances......
I mean.....look at his records...they can b considerd of ivy standard.....SAT score is not low in any sense...although it is in the middle range...
so,finally, wat matters now are his essays n how well he represent himself in the app....thats it!!!.....

thanks for the advice guys keep em coming!

If money is not a problem (app fees + sending sat scores + postage), apply to all the schools you mentioned.
You've got nothing to lose except money. good luck :)

yeah they told me i can just get a fee waiver by getting my counselor to write a little letter and putting in my application or faxing it across!

Otherwise wayyyyyyyy too expensive.

I'd only be able to afford 5-6000 a year once im in anyway! yiikes!

i think you should just apply! . . .

what country are you from?
It'll help if you're from this country where noone is applying from lol, and not applying for financial aid will help...alot

im from australia! and i got my SAT IIs back!

Lit i effed up 610

Chem 730

Math IIC 800
