PaCE Academy?

What exactly is the PaCE academy? If students are enrolled in it can they still live in Gainesville and attend sporting events, clubs, facilities, etc.? And instead of being rejected are more students beginning to get into that oppose to traditional undergrad?

PaCE (Pathway to Campus Enrollment, no “academy”, that’s from the Innovation “academy”), is an option for some students, but it’s not very popular. If you can get into PaCE, you likely can get into another college, like UCF or FSU.

Here’s a link to a good article on the subject.

They didn’t expect students that selected PaCE, would want to move to Gainesville and participate on campus, attend games, etc. However, a large number of PaCE students wanted to do just that. So it’s been modified to give Students some options.

@Gator88NE Are there stats on students admitted to the program? If not good enough for regular admission, is it almost a safe bet to be accepted to PaCE?

About 10% of admitted students to PaCE, end up enrolling into UF. It’s not a safe bet, as those selected for PaCE, just missed the cutoff for UF. Their grades are good enough to get into other selective schools, like FSU, USF, UCF, etc., hence the low 10% yield on enrollment.

If it’s something you’re interested in, then it may be an option.
